Ryan doesn't know how to appease the fearsome if hunky Angel since everything Ryan does is deemed wrong in the great Angel's eyes. It doesn't help that every time Anifiel draws near, Ryan is overcome with a lust too powerful to resist, a lust that Anifiel resents. Can Ryan manage to behave long enough to find a way to bring Finnian back? Or is Ryan doomed to remain a human in Heaven, never quite good enough for anyone?

I can't even begin to tell you how much I love this book!! This is a magical journey. The world building of epic! Seriously! None that you have read before, I won't put the blurb here because you can read it yourself. I loved the part where dreams are explained!How we see humans and Angels interact is fascinating! I just can't say enough how much I love this journey!!
After I finished this book I immediately bought the next one! Thank for this book!!!

I am not christian and at first I thought the book would be preachy, but it wasn't, it was so well written I simply could not put it down! I knew it would have an HEA but I never expected it to turn out like it did, it was pleasantly full of many twists and turns. The best surprise was when I got to the end and found out there was a part two, AND that it was already available! I really liked this book a lot. And the second one!
What an inspirational, imaginative and thought provoking read. Angel erotica who knew? I liked the way this story dealt with insecurities humans suffer from and the way the angels thought process works. The descriptions of the battles good and the landscape of heaven we'll done. This book was much softer than other books regarding the sexual sadism sometimes seen in this author's stories I.e. juxtapose city and Finninans trilogy. Thanks for the amazing entertainment.
An amazing, wildly imaginative story with solid world-building. I read and loved the AR Earth series and I found Finn to be the most complex, wonderful character. When I found that Finn is not the focus and the story will follow the story of Ryan, Vithius and Anifiel in heaven, the concept captured my curiosity. I wanted to know more about them as each of their characteristics were revealed. All is not as it seems. Some of the scenes are truly breathtaking, as Owens creates a rich, believable fantasy world. This is not your average M/M story. The rules of heaven are ambiguous and any preconceived notions of angels, demons, heaven and hell that you may have will most probably fly out the window. Can't wait to read book 2!
If you are a fan Finnian from Angel Reversed, you will love this story of what happens with Anifiel in Heaven during the same period. Ryan is Finn’s best friend; however, Anifiel has treated him with animosity from the first time they met. When Finn sneaks to Earth and Anifiel cannot get bring him back, Anifiel blames Ryan for corrupting him taking every opportunity to humiliate and belittle him. Ryan, already suffering from self-image problems, takes Anifiel’s disdain and malice to heart until he meets an angel named Vithius. Unfortunately, Vithius is Anifiel’s battle companion and as Ryan and Vithius become REALLY close Anifiel’s animosity only gets worse, especially as Ryan teaches Vithius about sex and how humans love. There may be more to Anifiel’s behavior then meets the eye, more than just his duress at losing Finn or Vithius full attentions, maybe he feels something for Ryan he can’t admit? Awesome story, loved it even more than A/R, which I thought was incredible, the thought of a human “corrupting” angels with physical love was intriguing and the characters multiple layers and depth elicited a wide range of emotions.

I started Territory of Angels without knowing anything about the series. I don't even know if I realized it took place in Heaven. And I loved it. Loved it.
First off, I love the Tricia Owens idea of Heaven. This is the kind of Heaven I could care about and believe in. The True Angels are beautifully flawed. It makes them much easier to stomach. Instead of 'Holy, Holy, I am awesome' they are beings which you can aspire.
Human Ryan is in the middle tier of Heaven and friends with Angel Finnian. This friendship puts him in the path of Anifiel, who is the Commander of Heaven's Army. Things happen, as they do, and Ryan and Anifiel are thrust together multiple times. Because of those 'things' that happened these two cannot stand each other. However, there is also a crazy attraction that they both want to deny. They have repeated arguments and power plays. The animosity and lust is terrific. Ticks all my hate/love tickety boxes. Then Ryan meets Vithius, another True Angel. He is Anifiel's battle companion. Ryan and Vithius become close and as this grows so does the fighting between Ryan and Anifiel. Being True Angels, Anifiel and Vithius have never had human sex. Ryan introduces sex into this messy equation. It is an angst filled minefield. Don't get me wrong, it makes sense. The angels are not ashamed, rather it is new and they have to adjust their thoughts.
There is so much more to this story. I don't want to spoil anyone, but this book is worth the read. It is filled with emotional angst. So much emotional angst. After all, there is a reason Ryan is still in the middle tier of Heaven as well as why he and Anifiel dislike each other so much.
I read this one in a day and started the next book in the series with my morning cup of coffee. Take a chance. Territory of Angels is not your typical heavenly story!
I really enjoyed this book. Although it was set in one place, it had enough going as far as variation is concerned. The characters were realistic as was their interactions and temperament. Can't wait to read the others in the series.
Strange that I cried a lot reading this book. The path that Ryan takes to earning his wings is not an easy on. I did fall in love with the not-so-perfect perfect angles and loved the strange obsession with physical sex that fills most of the story. Hot and soulful story I really enjoyed.
